XL391 was one of the relatively large number of Vulcans that were disposed of to interested parties after their retirement by the RAF. It was acquired by the Blackpool Air Centre and is currently located at the entrance to their main hangar and offices. Unfortunately no attempt has been made to 'preserve' it, and a close inspection reveals large areas of corrosion and other signs of neglect. With the huge cost of restoring and preserving this type of aircraft it is unlikely to survive for many more years.
