Vava'u is the most northerly of Tonga's three main island groups. The airport is quite a long
way out from the main settlement of Neiafu, and sees very limited services from Royal Tongan
Airlines, with about two or three flights a day on average.
Photographic opportunities here would seem to be extremely limited, unless you're actually
flying (which you undoubtedly would be, as there's almost no other way to get to Vava'u, and
absolutely no other reason to be at the airport anyway!). There's a high fence around the apron
area, and the entire airport seems to be surrounded by trees, so chances for any perimeter shots
are probably minimal. Once on the apron, however, there were no problems taking pictures.
