|ex-PLA Air Force Shenyang FT-1 0101
(China Aviation Museum, Datangshan - 21 February 2003)
The Shenyang FT-1 (sometimes known by its Chinese designation of JJ-1) was the very first wholly Chinese-designed aircraft to fly, making its first flight on 26 July 1958. Unfortunately, like so many Chinese aircraft designs, it was not very successful, and its development was later abandoned, with only the single prototype known to have been completed.
